MECHANICAL TESTING
What is Mechanical Testing?
Mechanical testing is a critical step in product development and
certification by regulatory agencies. Mechanical testing enables the
selection of materials that will best withstand the service conditions that
products must endure.
Universal testing instruments subject materials to forces such as tension,
compression, or bending. These destructive testing techniques provide
valuable data on materials used in a wide variety of applications including
aerospace, automotive, military, infrastructure, electronics, and biomedical
applications.
